We just did interval training.

Today, July 15 (SUN), we, Thailand 100 Miles Run Club, did our weekly interval running training.
(As you know well, we are arranging our Monthly Natural Run Session, which is a lecture for running. But, lectures are not enough for us to be able to run. That’s why we get together, and we do lots of different kinds of actual running activity, too. JOIN US!!!)

This is my result for five sets of 1000 meters, running barefoot.
(I appreciate POLAR’s generous sponsorship for its GPS/Heart rate watch.)

We all set up our own target time, and we enjoyed our running.
And, I am sure this training has improved our VO2max, too.

This time, again, I truly have enjoyed running with my friends.
As every time, I have learnt so much from all of my friends.
Especially, from our new member, my new friend, Max-san, I have got huge/comfortable inspiration.

Surely, this has become one of the best Sundays in my life.
Life is beautiful.

It’s time for me to take a good rest!

We just finished running “Marines Marathon”.

On July 8 (SUN), I ran full marathon race “MARINES MARATHON”, in a place called Sattahip, Thailand, running through marine military base, with three dear friends of our running club (Thailand 100 Miles Run Club).

My time target was less than four ours, running barefoot.
But, I missed it, because some parts of the surface were too rough for me.
However, this time  I have the smallest damage (especially skin irritation on my feet from a barefoot full marathon.
This is because I have improved my running, trying to run more gently, avoiding unnecessary conflict with the ground.
But, I am not perfect at all, so I will/can improve my running more.

Even though I could not achieve my time target, I really enjoyed this race.
Some parts of the race course were so beautiful, running alongside the beautiful sea shore.
And, I could have really good time with my friends.

In October, we will run another full marathon in Bangkok, Thailand, and in the race, I will achieve my time target of less than four hours, running barefoot.

P.S.
I appreciate very kind sponsorship from two great companies.
1. POLAR, for running watch
2. PROGEAR, for eye wears

(The best praising words for me – Crazy Guy)

titlelogo_segoeuisemibold-_new
ROUTE 66 – CRUISING WITH TOSHI
I have been featured by ROUTE 66 – CRUISING WITH TOSHI !
(THIS is the article, but, sorry, this is in Japanese language.)

TOSHIさん
TOSHI

He is the chairman of Route 66 Association of Japan.

I am also one of the association’s management members.

In this article, TOSHI writes how we started to know each other.

In 2015, I ran across USA.
One year before, in 2014, I was doing lots of preparation for my USA cross run.
I talked to TOSHI that I would like to run entire Route 66, when crossing USA.
“That is crazy!!!” – That’s what he said to me.
We immediately became friends.
After I had run entire Route 66 and had run across USA, he assigned me as one of the management members of his association.

In his article, he has called me “a beloved crazy guy.”

What an honor.
This is the most praising expression for me.

“You are crazy!”
“You are different.”
“You have your own style.”

These are the best compliments for me.
I am not trying to do something special, because I want to be called “crazy.”
But, these words make me happy.
Especially, when some crazy person give me these words, I feel the happiest.

When I was around 10 years old, I first time touched America in books and TV.

My impression was…

BIG

And, so many people doing something crazy!

When I became 20, I went to America for the first time.
Yes, America was (is) BIG, and I saw(see) many crazy people there.

I am from Osaka, Japan, and there are many crazy people there, too.

チラホラと“You are Crazy!”
Gradually, when I have got older, some crazy American people have started to call me crazy.
I am quite honored for that.

Then, after completing running across USA, now, many people call me crazy.

I am so grateful that I could complete running across USA.

Birds of a feather flock together.

In my life, in my running club, at my vegan cafe, I have started to meet lots of crazy friends.

What they have in common are…
“Youngness”(not age)
“Craziness”
“Originality” and “Generosity and openness to others”
“Gentleness”
“Brightness”
“Flexibility”
“Toughness” and “Courage”

Age, gender and nationality are not important.

Especially, I have seen lots of these crazy and unique people on Route 66, where they still keep their originality.
That is why I am attracted by Route 66.

This is a photo of TOSHI and myself, with my wife.
I could finally met him, at Manhattan Beach, California.
This was one week after I had finished running across USA.
(This is  my article, written about our first meeting.)

When I meet Toshi-san next time, what I want to hear from him is…

“K-san, you are still crazy.”
