This is my next running race.

Thailand Ocean To Ocean Running Race

This is my most favorite race in Thailand.

Let me write about this running race.

This time, I write especially about my training partner, Kazumi.

Thailand Ocean To Ocean Running Race

This is basically a relay race.

Eight relay runners, in one relay team, run 120KM.
There are 24 running sections.
Each relay runner runs 15KMs.(=5KMs x 3times)

The race starts at Pacific Ocean, and ends at Indian Ocean, running across the narrowest part of Thailand.

This is my fifth time to join this race.

But, I have always joined this race, as a solo runner.

***

But…
This year, there is something really special for my solo running.

I have a running friend, Kazumi.
She is my best friend.
No…
She is more than that.
She is my “sworn friend.”
She has been supporting me a lot.
Especially, she supported me so well in my run across USA project.
She was a project member of my USA cross run.

A couple of months ago, Kazumi said to me that she wanted to try running solo in this race.

She is a great passinate runner.
She has run several full marathons, too.
But, surely, this is going to be the most challenging one for her.

I really like somebody, who tries something difficult.

And, we have decided to run together, as two solo runners, running together, as a pair/team.

***

We have been training together for a couple of months.

I will never forget this wonderful experience of the past couple of months.

Now, we are ready as a pair/team.

We, solo runners, will start 120KM race, at 10pm, on DEC 5 (SAT).

Thailand Ocean To Ocean Running Race

Thailand Ocean To Ocean Running Race

ですので、1人が15KM(5KMを3回)走ります。

  3. I imagine we’ll go through the finish line together everyday. You’re not only a strong ultra runner but also a great coach for long distance.
I’m looking forward to having a 120K journey with you.
    We can do it.
