100 mile 4

I have enjoyed another 100 mile race!

100 MILES THAILAND is the first 100 mile race in Thailand.
Nop-san, Race Director, has arranged this wonderful running race.

61 solo runners and 65 relay runners started at 12pm, NOV6(FRI).
We ran 100 miles, from Chiangrai to Chiangmai, Thailand.
Under the Thailand’s heat, the highest temperature was 34 degree C.

This time, I was running this race, as an invitational runner.
I have got the race bib, NO.1
I really appreciate Nop-san, Race Director, for his very generous invitation.
It has been an honor.

Also, this time, I was running this race, as a VIBRAM RUNNER.
I got VIBRAM FIVE FINGER SHOES & SHIRTS and financial support.
I really appreciate VIBRAM (STAR 360 Thailand), for their very kind sponsorship.
It has been an honor, too.

100 mile 5

With Sanya-san (Center, 1st Overall Runner, 18H20M, Thailand’s best runner), and with Jag-san (third left, 2nd Overall Runner, 18H50M, originally from Philippines, greatest runner in Thailand)

I could finish this race, in 20 hours 44 minutes, with the overall 3rd place.
I am really satisfied with my performance and result.

100 mile 3
Most importantly, we all could run happily, without accident.
I admire all of my friends, who were there!
Let’s keep on going!

P.S.1
This time, I could run very comfortably.
I did not walk.
I did not have pain.
I just focused on my breathing, the indicator of my movement and performance.
“Natural Run” really works!
(“Natural Run” is the running method, using our natural body function, not depending on things.)

P.S.2
I really admire Nop-san, Race Director.
He arranged the 1st 100 mile race in Thailand.
It is alway challenging to do something new.
But, he had a courage to do it, and he made it.
Also, I admire Nop-san’s great team members.
Nop-san and his members took so much effort, without sleeping.

P.S.3
I also appreciate and admire Kirannee-san, who did MC for this race.
She, a professional TV announcer, also seldom slept during this running event.
She and her husband, Kerati-san, 100 mile finisher, are great runners, too.

P.S.4
I also admire Ty-san, my “Natural Running” friend, who finished 100 miles.

P.S.5
I LOVE “PRIZE SNACK” by Happy Box Company, Thailand.
I enjoyed this delicious rice snack during the race.
I will run my next race, with “PRIZE SNACK” again.

P.S.6
My next race is…
Thailand Ocean To Ocean Race on DEC6(SAT).
I will run this 120KM race, with my best friend, Kazumi, as a VIBRAM RUNNER.
We are preparing and training hard.

ゼッケンの番号は、1番。
このアレンジをして下さったNopさんに心より感謝です。

また、今回VIBRAMランナーとして、このレースを走りました。

20時間44分かけて、総合3位でゴールできました。
内容、結果共に、とても満足しています。

100 mile 3

P.S.3
Kirannee

    • Greg-san,
Thank you so much for your words and encouragement, always.
I became too much used to running at a very slow pace, 44miles/13hours.
So, it was difficult for me to run, faster than that speed.
      Finally, I could adjust myself.
I know you are doing well.
      Thank you always.
      Let me keep in touch!
      SINGHA!

    • Art-san,
Thank you so much for your very kind and encouraging words.
      Yes… It WAS HOT!!!!!!
      But, we all survived it.
We all could come back safely.
That is the most important point.
      We are all heroes.

And, thank you so much for your kind help for transportation.
Finally, we did not take the same transportation.
But, I felt very comfortable to know that you were there.

      Thank you so much again.
      Let’s keep on going!
