One of our most important and warmest friends.

He live in New Jersey, USA.

Again, he has visited our cafe in Bangkok, Thailand.

He has visited our cafe many times, as a customer and as a friend.

After I finished running across USA at New York, Kevin-san kindly let us stay at his house.

We really enjoyed spending time at his very comfortable place.

Kevin-san also supported us in many ways, in our last days of running across USA.

He has guided us to run across George Washington Bridge, from New Jersey to New York.

He has given us a lot.

He is giving the others a lot.

Giving, Giving, Giving…

That is his style.

Kevin-san and I have talked a lot about the importance of “breathing,” too.

Breathing is one of the most important things in our life and in running.

Especially, breathing-out is very important.

When I run, I focus on breathing out.
I throw out bad air, then I take fresh air.
I also throw out bad thoughts, like ego, when I breathe out.
I call it “releasing.”
This is “running meditation.”

“Releasing” is also the same as “Giving.”

Releasing is the bless.

アメリカ横断走破後、Kevinさんの家で、お世話になりました。 

非常に快適な場所でした。

Kevinさんには、いろいろとアメリカ横断をサポートして頂きました。

ニュージャージー州からニューヨーク州へと架かる橋。

ジョージワシントンブリッジを越える時に、ガイドして頂きました。

彼は、多くを与えてくれました。

与えて、与えて、与えて、与える。

それが、彼のスタイルです。

彼とは、よく“呼吸”の話をしました。

呼吸は、生きる上で、そして、走る時に、最も大事な行為の一つです。

特に、“吐く”ことが大事。

僕は、走る時に、息を吐くことに、集中します。
体内の古い空気を捨て、新しい空気を入れる。
その時に、悪い考えも捨てます。
例えば、エゴとかを。
それを、“リリース(放すこと)”と呼んでいます。
これが、ランニング瞑想です。

”放すこと”は、“与えること”にも通じます。

“放すこと”は、至福です。
